Get ready for the Online Gaming Champions Cup action as Group A slugs it out

December 4, 2024 by Ninah Villa

Opening up the biggest Tongits spectacle brought to life by GameZone, the Tongits Champions Cup will commence its heavyweight Tongits bout with the battle of the first of three groups, Group A, on December 5.

GameZone, the premium online gaming destination in the Philippines, launched the Tongits Champions Cup with a total of 27 participants—24 coming from online qualifiers and 3 Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). All players are evenly distributed into three groups: Group A, Group B, and Group C.

The Beginning of the Elite Tongits Display

The first group of the Tongits Champions Cup, Group A, is composed of 8 randomly selected online qualified players and one Key Opinion Leader (KOL), creating a diverse and competitive field of participants. These nine individuals bring a range of skills, strategies, and experiences to the competition, setting the stage for an intense and unpredictable series of matches. The online qualified players have proven their worth through a rigorous selection process, while the KOL adds an extra layer of excitement and credibility to the event.

Punching their ticket onto the Finals will inch them closer to the ultimate prize of ₱300,000. The second placer is set to cash out ₱100,000, while a ₱60,000 reward will be harvested by the third-ranked player. GameZone plans to give out a total of ₱1,000,000 in a prize pool, distributed to all 27 participating players.

Enjoy the action and get extra

The GameZone Facebook page and the GameZone website will live stream all Group A games. Meanwhile, the campaigns of the succeeding groups, Group B and Group C, will commence on December 6 and 7, respectively.

During the coverage, you will receive prizes, so pay close attention to avoid missing these enticing rewards.

Chapter 5: A Star in a Dark Night Ibarra went to his room, which overlooked the river, and dropping into a chair gazed out into the vast expanse of the heavens spread before him through the open window. Noli Me Tangere Chapter 4 English Translation

Chapter 4: Heretic and Filibuster Ibarra stood undecided for a moment. The night breeze, which during those months blows cool enough in Manila, seemed to drive from his forehead the light cloud that had darkened it. He took off his hat and drew a deep breath. Carriages flashed by, public rigs moved along at a […]

Demystifying the Heneral Luna Phenomenon – A Movie Review

I woke up to a most singular occurrence, Tuesday last week. Heneral Luna, an indie historical film which had opened quietly the week before, had begun trending in Twitter at 4 a.m. Like the brash and vitriolic general of the same name, it had refused to fade calmly into obscurity and continued to pop in […]

Bayan Ko TV Series Review

I saw one episode of this series on GMA News TV and was impressed. So even if this two disc set seemed a bit expensive at roughly Php400 each, I bought them anyway. I support anything Filipino made that’s better than the usual evening cookie cutter drama fare. Its fictional but faithful account of what […]
